Vidiin was just another gnome raised within the Percept Orphanage of the King's Kaer. Early on, his rebellious tendencies were aimed at simple attention-getting ploys. They became more and more elaborate as he grew up and his tastes changed. His first robbery provided all the children of Percept with new shoes. Unfortunately, it also got him on the wrong side of the Kaer's Thieves' Guild. To protect himself and provide the rush of recognition he's deeply addicted to, he has created a pseudonym; The Unseen Poet. The Poet's heists always involve difficult to trace goods, a robbery in silence, and a verse left at the crime scene.
Vidiin gets a different orphan at Percept to write out each verse as he composes it. Fencing is done through a front each time; someone who's conveniently unable to track things back to the Poet.
When not conducting illegal acts to bolster the Poet's reputation, Vidiin peforms dance and song in various bars around the Kaer. Vidiin himself is an accomplished entertainer with his own growing reputation. He does not believe that fighting will work as a long-term solution, and tends to go unarmed on any venture (as the Poet or as himself).
Vidiin has pale brown skin, his eyes and hair are violet. His hair refuses to assume the form of anything less than a crazily-anime asymmetrical style. When visiting the orphans, he wears a white linen shirt under a vest with a sarong. When performing, it depends on the venue, but the sarong is the only constant. Vidiin is uncomfortable in trousers, and does not wear them unless missing a sarong and there is an environmental reason not to be nude.

: When involved in criminal activity, Vidiin has learned the wisdom of keeping several middle-men between himself and the goods. His alignment keeps him thinking about who should be his fall-guy should things go sour. In fights, Vidiin knows he is not going to excel. Therefore he keeps his wits about him, and his eyes peeled for escape routes.
: If Vidiin is caught in a fight, his first thoughts will be for distraction and escape. Magic Mouth cast on various inanimate objects with the trigger "scream like you're being killed should someone come within range" is a favorite tactic, especially if he can trigger it on an opponent's race or clothing. Given the most likely situation he'll find himself in is running from the Guild or Lyran Justice, a nice faux-murder distraction will drive the Guild to ground and Justice off to investigate. Vidiin's whip is only used when he cannot otherwise generate a means to escape, and then only to foul up his opponents until he can. He is not interested in people getting hurt; he is focused on not getting caught. Withdrawl, withdrawl, withdrawl.
